i.SG discussed the site meeting where someone from Highways had a walk around the Village discussing the Highways issues. From this site visit, it was established that the Highways were satisfied with the road conditions.
ii.SG discussed the speeding issues which are a constant problem within the village. MJ suggested we look into 20 is plenty, these are stickers which are attached onto the residents bins and each week when the bins are put out it would have quite the impact.
iii.MJ suggested that the residents come along to the SCEF (Southern Community Engagement Forum) with is being held on 11th October in Thorpe Willoughby. Our issues regarding Speeding with SG’s consent could be added to the agenda so be directed to the appropriate Highways Officer, Police etc.
iv.Speeding lorries, i.e. delivery drivers coming through the village needs to be taken up with the delivery company not the company they are delivering too.
v.We will be asking the Hedge Contractor again in the Autumn to cut back the hedges on the residents side too.
