(4)Matters Arising
- Planning update – Discussion re Josie’s application and the three storey house. SG has written into Planning, no response todate. MJ to speak to Planning.
- Highways – PR discussed Rusholme Road, Highways Issues. A complaint has been made to Highways and he is still awaiting a response. MJ to chase up. SG discussed Highways signage for flood signs/freezing but this type of signage was not deemed practicable from Highways. Salt bins within Newland to be checked and broken up with a shovel, and if needed refilled.
- Dog Bin – Awaiting funding to go ahead with the dog bin and sighting of the bin to be at the side of the layby. SG discussed the possibility of stencilling no dog fouling at different intervals along the highway with the yellow spray paint. MJ said this could be done and to make contact with Amanda Suthers, Area Support Officer to discuss further. MT to make contact with her.
- Drax cemetery – Nothing to report.
- Village sign – SG has had a quotation back for the 2 new ‘NEWLAND’ signs which he brought to the meeting. Total for the signs was £2300.00. The Parish Council was all in agreement to go ahead with the signs. Council asked SG for other designs for the signs. The design of the signs will be agreed at a later date. MJ also advised to look into getting some funding for these, even though the money has been allowed within the budget.
- Defibrillator – The pub situated within Drax village has raised the funds for a defibrillator. The surrounding villages will be able to utilise this if needed.
- Drax repower project – We are waiting to hear when the next meeting will be regarding the project and it was discussed which would be the referred pipeline route..
- Fly tipping – HB reported fly tipping to SDC again, still nothing has been done. No fresh tipping todate.
